There’s nothing like the night of a fight. The energy in the room is electric - buzzing, alive, unpredictable. Canadian Fight League #10 delivered an incredible show. The matchups were intense, the crowd was electric, and some of the fights that night will stick with me forever.
This card was particularly special for women in the sport. There were six female bouts, twelve incredible athletes stepping into the ring, the most I’ve ever seen on a single night. Standing alongside these women, sharing that energy, knowing we’re part of something bigger than ourselves, was unforgettable. We’re not just fighting, we’re growing the sport, opening doors, and showing what women in Muay Thai can do. I’m proud to have been part of that.
The Mental Shift
There’s a strange, almost surreal moment in a fight when you see the effects of what’s happening, marks on your opponent, signs of impact, the reality of the physical toll. It’s unsettling, almost odd, but it’s part of the experience. You have to stay calm, deliberate, and present, even when every instinct tells you to pause. That mental toughness, the ability to keep moving with clarity amidst chaos, is something no training session can fully replicate.
Having been through one fight already, I approached this one differently. I didn’t obsess over my opponent. Instead, I focused on myself—my presence, my strengths, my awareness, and the spaces where I could be effective. That shift brought clarity, focus, and the ability to perform with intention, even when the moments got challenging.
The Night Unfolds
Walking through the ropes, the energy hit me like a wave. The lights, the sounds, the anticipation. It's impossible to describe if you haven’t been there. Every second is magnified. Every decision, every movement feels charged. And in that space, clarity emerges — not from control, but from surrendering to the moment and trusting in the work you’ve put in.
The fight itself was intense. Every second required focus, awareness, and endurance. And when the final bell rang and my hand was raised, it wasn’t just relief. It was understanding. It was one of those moments where all the preparation, all the discipline, all the focus made sense.
Community and Connection
Even though stepping into the ring is an individual experience, it’s never truly solo. The support from my teammates, coaches, and the Muay Thai community made the night alive, meaningful, and celebratory. That shared energy, those moments of connection, made this fight feel bigger than a personal victory—it felt like a collective triumph.
Being just one of twelve other female athletes, all of us making our mark in the sport, was a reminder that the energy we bring to the ring extends far beyond ourselves. We’re not only challenging ourselves, we’re inspiring others, creating space, and showing what’s possible.

The Night That Ended in Tears
My night ended with tears. This time, not from dissatisfaction with my performance, but from gratitude—gratitude for the community, for our students, for the unwavering support, and for the shared energy that made the night electric.
After the fight, people came up to share their thoughts, telling me how inspiring the performance was, how it motivated them, how much it meant to see someone step in with intention and heart. That, more than anything, is what this is about. Sure, we fight to grow the sport, to test ourselves, and to reach new levels—but there is nothing like the feeling of knowing you’ve made an impact on someone else’s life.
You truly get what you give, and it couldn’t be more true in training. Every experience teaches us new lessons, offers clarity for growth, and builds the strength to endure and persist, things you simply can’t gain anywhere else.

Why You Should Step In
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to fight, or if you’re capable, know this: it’s about discovering yourself, not so much about facing an opponent. It’s about courage, awareness, resilience, and endurance. And for the women reading this: standing on that card with other incredible female athletes, I felt the future of the sport in our hands. Fight night is electrifying, demanding, raw and the lessons last long after the lights go down.
Step in, embrace the challenge, and trust the journey. The experience will change you, in ways you can’t get anywhere else.
